With a range of sizes, styles and material types, we’ve got an ESD brush suited for virtually any application. Commonly used in solder removal, dusting, board prep, ESD wiping, general cleaning and more, there are six main types of anti-static brushes.

Conductive – Used to reduce static charge to 0V in environments where rapid discharge is not harmful to the application. For example, brushes used inside copy machines are generally conductive.

Dissipative –Used wherever high current flow is damaging to the application, dissipative brushes are excellent for removal of static charge that results in the adhesion of particles to an object.

Low Charging – Ideal for environments where the creation of a minor charge is non-threatening. Low charging brushes do NOT remove an existing charge.

Insulative – This inexpensive alternative to conventional anti-static brushes is best for environments where static protection is non-critical. Brushes immersed in liquid offer additional ESD protection.

Cleanroom – Durable and non-shedding, these brushes are designed to withstand sterilization in cleanroom environments while eliminating static charge.

Thunderon– This special fiber is one of the softest synthetics available. Thunderon conductive fiber offers far greater control of static and superior overall performance.

Come Clean: Keeping Your Cleanroom Spotless

When is cleaning ever convenient? While it’s an essential component of the cleanroom environment, the process can be disruptive to the orderly flow of manufacturing and critical applications. It doesn’t have to be – get a handle on the process with three simple tips for a cleaner cleanroom.

Protocol: Get rid of the guesswork. Operators should be provided with clear, written directives including which objects to wipe, how often and what cleaning agents to use. Each person should be tested, trained and retrained regularly.

Convenience: Make it easy. Wipers should always be readily accessible to operators, in plain view and within arm’s reach. Not only will this provide the opportunity to perform necessary tasks, but it will offer a visual reminder as well.

Auditing: Check your work. It’s important to garner feedback on consistency and effectiveness to ensure protocol is being followed correctly. Usually audits are performed for visual appearance under high illumination or through surface sampling.
