Joining Forces: Kimberly-Clark and TerraCycle Come Together for RIGHTCYCLE*

Kimberly-Clark, widely recognized for their innovative workplace solutions, is committed to more than product quality alone. Through their Reduce Today, Respect Tomorrow* approach to sustainability, Kimberly-Clark is dedicated to lowering the environmental impact of their products. That’s why they’ve partnered with TerraCycle to create RIGHTCYCLE*, a national salvaging system for previously non-recyclable or hard-to-recycle waste.

The goal of RIGHTCYCLE* is to protect our environment while providing solutions to mitigate excess – helping customers to reach their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability goals in the process. By making it easy to recycle items like cleanroom garments and gloves, they can be repurposed into a range of eco-friendly products available at major national retailers including Wal-Mart and Whole Foods Market.

If you’re currently laundering your garments, the RIGHTCYCLE* program may have you thinking twice about single-use options. Repetitious processing can lead to cross-contamination at the laundry facility and reduced protection properties. RIGHTCYCLE* provides a waste-free solution for single-use garments and protects the integrity of your environment.

Now, what’s good for your business is good for the planet. For more information on the RIGHTCYCLE* program, read this pdf or contact Kimberly-Clark directly at 800-255-6401.

After months of planning, building and waiting it’s finally complete. Our fiber connection is live and DNS records have been updated. You should see a large improvement in speed and latency from our web and mail servers. Thanks for your continued support and business!

[IT News] Fiber connection update #2

Posted on by Glen B. in All-Spec News, IT News Leave a comment

Here it is! Our shiny new fiber connection is ready for turn-up. The AT&T installer was kind enough to install a spare he had instead of waiting 3 more weeks for one originally scheduled to get here May 15th. We should be getting a call, soon, stating that network provisioning has been completed and our connection is live. Impatiently, I tried and failed to get a connection yesterday on my netbook. The blinking lights and RJ45 jack say “plug into me and consume my bandwidth” yet it fails to comply with my requests. Soon, very soon!

[IT News] Fiber connection update

Posted on by Glen B. in All-Spec News, IT News Leave a comment

We are so excited about our fiber connection! Finally, it’s almost turn-up time! The estimated availability date is 05/01/2012, per AT&T, for our new fiber connection. The fiber bundle has been run, our new network addresses have been provisioned by AT&T and ARIN has confirmed a new POC with our information.

There will be great bandwidth potential for All-Spec once this fiber install is finished. AT&T estimates that roughly 2GB of bandwidth could be provided through this fiber bundle with specific equipment and provisioning on their end. We will be starting out with 10MB up and down for now. That is double our current sustained bandwidth capacity. Up to 100MB is quickly attainable with a simple phone call and some billing changes. I don’t think we’ll need more than that this year, but more can be made available to us with equipment and provisioning changes.

Thanks for your continued business!
